If you are on the Internet with Firefox, you can quickly and easily copy several or all of the links on a website. This is useful for quickly compiling a list of links or a picture gallery.
Copy multiple links with Firefox addon
Install the latest version of "Copy All Links" in Firefox. You can reach the add-on manager via the menu button> "Add-ons". You will find the individual steps for installing the add-on "in these instructions". If the add-on is installed, you can use the additional function via the context menu of Firefox:
- Go to the website from which you want to copy links. Click the right mouse button to open the Firefox context menu. The last entry is "Copy All Links".
- If you now move the mouse to the new entry, a submenu opens. Here you can first choose whether you want to copy links on the currently visible "Current Tab" page or links from all "All Tabs" pages opened in the browser.
- If you have previously marked a certain part of the website, the entry »Selection« appears, which only copies the links of the marked area.
- Once you have decided which page (s) links should be copied from, you have three options: With »Links to File Sharing Sites« you only copy links that lead to pages such as Dropbox or RapidShare. Select the entry »Direct File Links«, only copy links to documents and images such as PDFs or JPGs. The entry "All Links" is not very useful, because in this case you also copy all internal page links from the navigation menus of the page.
- Now confirm your selection by clicking the left mouse button. All links are now copied to the clipboard.
- With the key combination [Ctrl] + [V] you can insert the links into a text document or an e-mail.
You should regularly check that all installed Firefox add-ons are up to date. You can read exactly how it works in the CHIP practical tip "Update Firefox addons".
