Forget button in Firefox: what is it?
The forget button destroys traces that you leave on the Internet, thus ensuring significantly more data protection. With a click on the forget button you trigger the following activities.
- Cookies and history are deleted.
- Tabs and windows are closed.
- Firefox opens an empty window.
- You can also specify the period of time for which the delete action is to take place.
- Important: If you have clicked the forget button, you can no longer undo it.
Show the forget button of Firefox
If you want to conveniently access the forgotten button on the browser with a click of the mouse, you must first place it manually in the menu bar.
- First click on the "Open menu" button, which you can find on the far right.
- Select "Customize" in the context menu.
- On the "Customize Firefox" page you will also find the "Forget" button from Firefox under "Other tools and functions".
- Place the mouse on the forget button of the browser and drag it to the place where you want it.
- Finally, click on "Complete adjustment".
