Firefox: Manage zoom settings comfortably

With the free extension NoSquint you can control the text zoom independently of other objects and for each website separately. To install, click the "Add to Firefox" link on the website or open the relevant XPI file with Firefox. You have to confirm the installation of the extension by clicking on "Install now" and then restart the browser.
Configuration options for zooming
Now all pages are enlarged. To configure the extension, select "Tools | Add-ons" in the Firefox menu, then mark "NoSquint" in the list of extensions and click "Settings".
- Change the default value "Default primary zoom level" back to "100%" in the "Options" tab or enter a value according to your requirements.
- Decide in the "Primary zoom method" combo box how the quick zoom setting by turning the mouse wheel while holding down the [Ctrl] key should work.
- With the default setting "Full page zoom" you adjust the overall size of the website, while with "Text Zoom" you only change the font size. Separate control is possible via the dialog settings. You do not need to adjust the other options.
- Later, you can change the zoom setting of a website much faster by holding down the [Ctrl] key and turning the mouse wheel.
- To control the text and page zoom separately, click the magnifying glass icon in the status bar of the browser. Use the two sliders to select the desired values in percent. The tool then automatically saves this setting for the current domain of the website. If you visit again in the future, you will immediately see the pages in the customized display.
