- If you are not using the WLAN connection, you can download the firmware update to the PC. In the help pages of Amazon you will find the various updates for the Amazon devices.
- Find the firmware version for your Kindle here and download it to your PC.
- Then connect your Kindle to your computer via USB and wait until the device is fully charged.
- Once the Kindle is loaded, copy the firmware update to the internal memory card of the reader.
- Disconnect Kindle from your computer and open the menu on Kindle.
- Select "Settings" here. A new point "Update Kindle" should appear here. If you tap this option, the firmware update will be installed. Kindle will restart after installation.
