Fitibit: delete data - how it works
A lot of data is stored both on your Fitbit tracker and in your Fitbit profile. This practical tip shows you how to delete which data.
Fitbit: delete data from tracker and account
- The Fitbit tracker itself stores your information on height, age and weight. As soon as the tracker is used with another account, the data will be overwritten. Alternatively, you can reset the Fitbit tracker.
- If you want to delete all Fitbit data right away, you should completely deactivate your account. To do this, follow the instructions in this practical tip.
Fitbit: Delete individual data from the tracker
If you do not want to delete all data, you can only remove individual measured values. Weight measurements as well as incorrectly counted steps and floors can be deleted in this way.
- To do this, open the Fitbit website and log into your account.
- If you switch to the "Record" category above, you can delete several data there.
- In "Nutrition" you can remove individual measurements under the item "Record weight".
- In the "Activity" area, you can use the "Drive" function to negate steps and floors that you have allegedly walked.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to connect Fitbit with Runtastic.
