Flappy Bird - The best cheats
There are not many cheats in Flappy Bird. Nevertheless, we present two methods for keeping your bird alive or for achieving a very high high score.
The cheat to fly through pipes in the iOS version
With a cheat you can climb the high score list for the iOS version of Flappy Bird. For this you need an Apple iPhone or iPad and a computer with Mac or Windows.
- You need an Apple device that has been jailbroken. You can find out how to install a jailbreak here.
- Download the iExplorer program for Mac or Windows.
- Download this file if you want to fly through the pipes. This file ensures that the pipes are only very small.
- Open iExplorer and connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer.
- Search for "flapp.app" in iExplorer and open this file.
- Now drag one of the downloaded .txt files into the folder. Replace this with the existing one.
- Note that jailbreaking will void your iPhone warranty.
Cheats are also available for Android
If you have an Android smartphone, you can also achieve a high high score with Flappy Bird.
- Your smartphone should be rooted. We explain how this works here.
- Install the Root Installer app.
- You must also install the ES File Explorer app.
- Uninstall and then reinstall Flappy Bird. Then play a round to get a high score.
- Open the ES File Explorer and the Root Explorer.
- Click "Tools" in the ES File Explorer. Then go to the root folder "/ device". Click here on the "data" folder. In this folder there is another folder with the name "Data". Click on it.
- Search for "flappy" and open the found folder.
- Open the Flappy Bird file and then "shared_prefs".
- Now open "FlappyBird.xml". Now select the ES Note Editor and click on "Edit" in the upper left corner.
- Here you can now assign any number to the highscore.
To use these cheats, you don't need either an iPhone with an installed jailbreak or a rooted Android smartphone. You can root them particularly easily with the Cyanogenmod.
