In this practical tip, we explain what a flash camcorder is. We show what the name means and show the advantages and disadvantages compared to hard disk camcorders.
Flash camcorder: video camera with built-in flash memory
- A flash camcorder is a video camera with flash memory. This is usually a memory card such as an SD card.
- The disadvantage compared to hard disk camcorders with an internal hard disk is the recording time. Until now, flash memories are generally not very large and the maximum recording time with flash camcorders is therefore limited.
- The advantage over hard disk camcorders lies in the weight of the devices. Flash camcorders are narrow and handy because the memory hardly takes weight.
