Flash Player not working - what to do?
This guide shows you what you can do if the Flash Player does not work.
Flash Player: The most common problem solutions
This practical tip is based on Adobe Flash Player 14 under Windows 7.
- Check whether an update for the Flash Player is available. Updates are carried out by the browser used. So if there is no update available for Chrome or Firefox, the Flash Player should be up to date.
- Go to the Adobe Flash Player page to check if the player has been installed correctly.
- Try to delete all Flash Player internet data. To do this, go to Control Panel and click on "Flash Player". Select the "Advanced" tab above and then the "Delete all" button.
- Activate the hardware acceleration by switching to the Flash Player help page and right-clicking in the displayed box with the program version. Then select "Settings" and then "Activate hardware acceleration".
- If the previous tips don't help, a complete reinstall may solve the problem. Uninstall Adobe Flash Player using the Control Panel and then manually delete all other data and folders. Alternatively, you can use the Revo Uninstaller to completely uninstall.
