Flixbus Delay - Passenger rights in the event of delay
Traveling with the Flixbus is convenient and easy - if everything works without delays. Delays are annoying and upset the schedule. We show you your passenger rights at Flixbus in the event of a delay:
- Flixbus will refund the full fare if the departure from a bus stop is delayed or canceled by more than 120 minutes. This applies to all passengers for whom a departure time has been set and for those with time tickets.
- Alternatively, you can choose to continue your journey to your destination under comparable conditions - with an alternative route without a price surcharge at the earliest possible date.
- If you overbook the Flixbus, you will receive the same options.
- Flixbus is committed to offering you these two options. If this is not done in such a situation, you are entitled to compensation that is 50% of the fare.
- In addition to the refunded fare, you have the option of returning to the place of departure at the earliest possible date - of course free of charge.
Flixbus: Further claims for delay
You can also file claims with Flixbus in the following cases.
- If the travel time to the destination is over three hours, you can expect appropriate help from a delay of 90 minutes (when departing from a bus stop).
- This includes, for example, meals or accommodation for a maximum of two nights (80 euros each), if necessary.
- Attention: In the event of weather-related delays, natural disasters and traffic jams, you have no right to compensation.
