Cut FLV file: Here's how
If you want to cut an FLV file, this works in several ways. We present two of them to you.
Free Video Editor: Cut FLV file
- Download the free Free Video Editor and install the program. When installing, make sure that you do not accidentally install additional software.
- Click on "File" and "Open" at the top of the menu bar and select the FLV video.
- You can then use the scissors symbol below to make individual cuts and swap or delete sections.
- Use the download button at the bottom right of the window to save the finished video on your PC.
Windows Movie Maker: Cut FLV file
In order for Windows Movie Maker to work with the FLV file, you must first convert the video to a compatible format such as MP4, WMV or AVI. You can use the Freemake Video Converter, for example, or follow these instructions.
- If Windows Movie Maker is not yet installed, download the program here and install it.
- Click on the "Insert" button at the top left and select the desired video. Alternatively, you can simply drag it into the window.
- Fast forward the video to the desired mark and then right click on the video.
- A cut is created using the "Share" function. Create additional cuts to delete or move individual sections.
- With the button "create film" the cut video is saved on your computer.
