If you want to find a map and compass in "The Forest", you have a lot to explore. But if you know where to look, you will get the useful equipment very quickly.

Easily find a map and compass in The Forest

The Forest is all about survival. When looking for the little Timmy, navigation instruments like the map or a compass can do no harm. There is a simple trick to get the equipment.

• Both the compass and the map of The Forest are in Cave 2 "Hanging Cave".
• Since you don't have a map yet, it is not that easy to find this cave quickly. The cave entrance is right next to a large village and is marked with a stack of skulls.
• Fortunately, there is also a trick to get there: the first death of your character is not final. Instead, you kidnap the natives.
• You wake up, hanging from the cave ceiling, in Cave 2. Cut yourself free with the ax, it is only a few steps into the cave until you find the map and compass.
• The items are deposited for you with a slain climber. Press M to access the map.
