The Forest: flashlight - find and use

Light is essential in The Forest. The flashlight is therefore particularly useful. We'll tell you where to find them and how to use them.

The flashlight only works with batteries - a charge lasts about 10 minutes, but then shines very brightly in the direction of view.

• In general, with a bit of luck, you can find the flashlight in a large number of suitcases scattered around the map. So examine everything you find in the world.
• However, a likely location is the camp where you wake up after your first kidnapping. Here you will find various useful items, but you have to be careful.
• In general, the positions change not least due to updates regularly, so it is difficult to specify a safe location.
• Once you have found and equipped a flashlight, you can activate it at any time by pressing the [L] key.
• When the battery runs out, the light begins to flicker and finally goes out.
• You can then no longer equip the lamp. You can find new batteries like the lamps themselves everywhere in the world. Also, fill up the batteries if you find more flashlights.
