Add Fortnite - Battle Royale to Steam
The free shooter Fortnite: Battle Royale should be playable for everyone, which is why the developers offer the game via their own launcher instead of using third-party platforms such as Steam. If you already use Steam anyway, you can add Fortnite to your own library and thus also access the game via the client.
- To do this, start Steam on your computer and log in with your account data.
- At the bottom left of the program window click on the entry "Add game".
- In the dropdown menu select the item "Add non-Steam game".
- A list of programs that are installed on your PC appears. Find the "Epic Games Launcher" here and select it. If it is not there, click on "Browse", navigate to the path "Program Files \ Epic Games \ Launcher \ Portal \ Binaries \ Win64 \" and select the EXE file it contains.
- Once you confirm your selection, Fortnite: Battle Royale will appear in the list of your Steam games. You can now start the game on Steam, use the Steam controller, and even use Steam Link.
