Fortnite doesn't install - you can do that
If you can't install Fortnite on your computer, there can be many different reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem and start Fortnite as soon as possible.
First Aid: Fortnite does not install
The first thing to do is to completely restart your computer. In some cases the problem has already been solved.
- If you get the message "The installation package is not supported by this processor type", use Windows as 32 and not as 64 bit version. In this case, Windows must be in the 64-bit version.
- Also check the system requirements for Fortnite. If your computer does not meet the requirements, installation is also not possible.
- If the installation of Fortnite still does not work, you should reinstall the Epic Games Launcher. Here you will find instructions on how to uninstall Fortnite and the download link for the Epic Games Launcher.
- Outdated drivers can also cause problems. Download the latest updates for your graphics card driver, DirectX and Visual C ++.
- If the problem remains, start the Epic Games Launcher and click on the gear icon in the top right corner. Under "Change storage location for depot cache" select any other folder and try again.
Fortnite installation failed: Server down
If the problem is not with the installation, but with the download of Fortnite, the problem is mostly with the Fortnite servers.
- Both overloads and maintenance can result in the servers not being online. In such a case, the first thing is to wait.
- You can find out if there are any problems with Fortnite's servers on the following Epic Games website. Alternatively, you can investigate problems that have not yet been identified on the website of AlleSt Stör.de.
