Take a successful landscape
Your landscape will succeed above all through the right settings.
- Take photos in RAW format to further improve the image afterwards.
- Your camera's ISO should be as low as possible to prevent noise. You only need to switch it up for short night shots.
- A high aperture value ensures a high depth of field. Use an aperture range of at least F8 to F11.
- The appropriate shutter speed depends on your subject and the surroundings. The darker it is, the longer your shutter speed will be.
- Pay attention to the golden ratio: the horizon should either be on the upper or lower 1/3 border of the image.
Slow shutter landscape paintings
Pictures at night are particularly interesting. Use light sources such as bridge lights or headlights.
- Your lens should be very sensitive to light. The results are all the better.
- Choose a high exposure time. This has the advantage that your picture appears bright and appealing even without a lot of ambient light and low ISO values.
- If you want to be more creative, use moving light sources. These leave nice streaks of light in long-term lighting.
