Upload photos to a USB stick - so it'll work
You can upload your photos to a USB stick in just a few steps. In this practical tip, we will show you how it works.
Step by step: upload photos to USB stick
Follow the instructions below to drag your photos onto a USB stick:
- First drag all the photos you want to use for the USB stick into a folder. If the photos are still on the camera, connect them or the SD card to your computer and drag them to the desired location.
- Now connect the USB stick to your PC and wait for a window to open automatically. In the area, select the folder of the stick to be displayed. If the USB stick does not load automatically, start Windows Explorer and then select "This PC", "Computer" or similar from the left margin. The USB stick is displayed under "Devices and drives". Click here.
- Copy or cut out the folder with the pictures if you have a backup copy. With a right click you can select "Copy" or "Cut".
- Then insert the photos into the folder of the USB stick by pressing the "CTRL" and "V" keys simultaneously. The photos are now copied. This may take a while depending on the amount of data.
