Photos could not be saved - that's because
If your photos could not be backed up in Google Photos, this may be due to incorrect settings. This practical tip shows you what you can do about it.
Android: photos could not be saved - what to do?
Use the tips below to ensure that photos are properly saved again by Google Photos:
- For your images to be backed up successfully, your phone must be connected to the Internet. We recommend a WiFi connection.
- If your smartphone has a connection and you still receive the error message, open Google Photos on your smartphone and tap on "Assistant" below.
- If you see "Waiting for connection" there, the connection settings may be incorrect. Tap on it to adjust it.
- You may also receive the message "Backup and synchronization are deactivated". To activate it, simply tap on the message.
- Please note that the photos may not be larger than 75 MB or 100 megapixels. Videos must not be larger than 10 GB, otherwise there will be problems in the Google Cloud.
- To ensure that the error is not due to Android, you should carry out a software update regularly.
