Photo shoot: tips for poses
Not only viewers of "Germany's Next Top Model" know: When it comes to photo shoots, it helps a lot if you offer the camera different poses. You can find out which ones make you look particularly advantageous - and which ones don't - here.
The most important poses for your photo shoot
First of all: Even the best pose does not make you look good if the light, camera perspective or your styling are not right. Clothing shouldn't be tight and high heels make your legs look longer and slimmer.
- Sitting: Cross your legs loosely, push your chin forward a little and support it lightly with an arm resting on your thigh. Do not let your back appear too crooked and ensure body tension - but do not cramp! Pay attention to a stretched neck!
- The smile: saying "Cheese" usually doesn't work so well. It is better to smile or smile naturally. If nothing helps, try unusual, funny words like "ant poop" that relaxes and breaks the ice.
- Standing: Look directly into the camera, but imagine yourself with one leg to the side, your shoulders straight but not raised and your hands hanging loosely.
- Lips: Slightly opened lips are considered erotic. But be careful not to make a "duckface"!
- Eyes: Close your eyes briefly before the photo, then open wide - but stay natural. This ensures a more alert look.
What you should avoid during a photo shoot
- Do not hold your fingers, legs or arms directly in the camera, this can disturb the focus.
- Don't let your shoulders sag, it will cloud the overall impression.
- When sitting, you should avoid providing wide-legged unwanted camera perspectives.
- Don't look too grumpy! A winning, natural smile is also transmitted to the viewer.
Learn to pose using an app
An app can also help you with the right camera pose. "Posing App" shows you on your iPhone, with the help of drawings, how best to sit down or pose. The app currently costs 2.69 euros.
