Freenet: Recover deleted mails - how it works
If you accidentally clicked on the wrong button, you can easily restore deleted mails in your Freenet account - mostly. We show you when and how to do it.
How to recover deleted mails
With Freenet there are two ways to delete mails: "normal" deletion by moving them to the trash and "immediate deletion". If the mail you are looking for is in the trash, restoring is not a problem. However, immediately deleted mails are lost.
- Go to the "Trash" folder in your Freenet account.
- Select the mails you want to restore.
- Now you can drag and drop the marked mails into the desired folder. Alternatively, click on "Actions -> Move to" in the navigation bar and select the target folder from the list.
- Of course, you can only restore mails from the recycle bin if they are still there. Therefore, it is important to adjust the retention period setting.
In addition to accidentally deleting mails, the unintentional sending of a message is a common problem. In the next practical tip, we will therefore deal with the question of whether you can call up emails on Freenet.
