If you want to fry meatballs in stock, you should then freeze them. They only stay in the fridge for a few days.
Freeze meatballs properly
Minced meat is perishable. It is therefore safest to keep the meatballs in the freezer.
- You can freeze meatballs raw or fried. Do not freeze them again if they have been in the freezer before.
- Meatballs can be frozen when they are ready. Here's how it works: Mix all the necessary ingredients together. Then you can form portion-sized balls from the meat dough. Put them in a plastic container in your freezer.
- Tip: Leave enough space between the balls when freezing. This way you don't stick together and you can remove them later.
- Note: Always roast the raw frozen meatballs completely before eating. This is the only way to ensure that germs and bacteria cannot withstand the heat.
- You can also freeze roasted meatballs. They can be practically stowed in a freezer or in a freezer bag.
- You can eat the pre-cooked meatballs cold after thawing. If you prefer warm them, you can briefly fry the defrosted meat in a pan.
