FritzBox: Set up a home server - how it works
In this practical tip we will show you how to set up the FritzBox home server correctly.
FritzBox: Set up the home server
- After connecting the device you can start with the setup. You now establish an internet connection and set up the WLAN.
- Connect the router to the PC or laptop using a network cable. Alternatively, you can also use an existing WLAN and connect the HomeServer wirelessly.
- In order to be able to connect to the router now, you have to call up the WLAN settings of the end device. You will see a list of the WiFi networks available in the area.
- The network name always corresponds to the respective AVM model name. Search for the name of the Fritz! Box and select it.
- Now enter the network security key. The 20-digit number sequence can be found on the sticker on the bottom of the server or on the service flyer. After the entry you will be connected directly to the radio network.
- After the WiFi is established, you can do the actual setup. Open fritz.box in the browser. You land on the user interface of the router.
- Enter your start code and your personal details. Now the DSL and WLAN connection and the landline numbers are ready for use and can be used directly.
