Fritzbox: delete network devices - how it works
Fritzbox shows you all devices ever connected to your network. You can delete old or unwanted entries at any time and thus ensure clarity. In this practical tip, we will tell you how to do this.
Fritzbox: delete network devices - how it works
In the user interface, the Fritzbox lists all network devices that have already been connected to your router and have made individual settings. If you no longer want to connect a specific device to the Fritzbox, you can remove it from the list:
- Open the user interface of the Fritzbox in your web browser.
- Enter your router password in the free field and click on "Login".
- Click on "Home Network Overview" in the menu bar on the left under "Home Network".
- At the top, switch to the "Network Connections" tab. You will then receive a list of all devices ever connected.
- Find the desired device from the list and click on the red cross on the far right to delete it. Note that this only works with devices that are not currently connected.
If you want to prevent the remote device from connecting to your Fritzbox again, you should then block the MAC address in the Fritzbox.
