Fritzbox simply restarts - it may be because of it
In this article we show you what you can do if your Fritzbox keeps restarting. Any sources of error must be checked one after the other.
Fritzbox simply restarts: the most common causes
The following steps solve the problem of the constantly restarting Fritzbox. You should use this if the Fritzbox frequently restarts for no apparent reason and several LEDs flash.
- First of all, disconnect the Fritzbox from the mains. After 10 seconds you can reconnect the Fritzbox. It will then reboot, which will fix the most common cache and runtime errors.
- Make sure that you use the original power supply. Other power supplies can cause over and under voltage in the Fritzbox, which can lead to constant restarts.
- If you have connected USB devices to the Fritzbox, remove all of them. Now observe over a period of several hours whether the error persists. If not, one of the USB devices may be faulty or use too much power. Then continue with the following step.
- Plug in the USB devices one after the other. Let a few hours pass between plugging in the next device. This allows you to see which is the faulty device.
Fritzbox simply starts again: If everything does not help
If none of the previous steps helped, you should reset the Fritzbox to the factory settings. To do this, download the recovery tool for the Fritzbox here and follow the instructions in the article. Then your Fritzbox is reset to the factory settings and you can enter the settings of your provider again. Alternatively, you can also follow the video below in the article.
