Fritzbox: change WiFi name
Of course, you can change the WiFi name (SSID) of your FritzBox at any time. We show you what you have to do for it.
Change the WiFi name of the FritzBox - how it works
You can change the so-called SSID of your FritzBox in the web interface of the router:
- To do this, call up the user interface in your browser. To do this, enter "fritz.box" in the address bar and confirm with [Enter]. Now you may have to enter your password that you assigned when configuring the router.
- In the menu, click on the "WLAN" button on the left.
- Now you can enter any WLAN name to the right of the "SSID" item (see picture).
- Confirm your entry by clicking "Apply" on the lower screen.
The FritzBox is a real all-rounder. In addition to your actual radio network, you can also set up a guest WiFi access for visitors.
