Fruux: cloud synchronization for Android and iOS
Fruux is a very special cloud synchronization: As an alternative to iCloud for iOS, Fruux also supports the Google operating system Android and other desktop programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird and many more.
Cross-platform cloud storage for contacts, tasks and calendars
With Fruux you keep your tasks, calendar and contacts up to date on all your devices. The open source project from Münster synchronizes all changes automatically. So far, the following operating systems and programs have been supported:
- Mobile operating systems: iOS 3-7, Android, Firefox OS, Blackberry 10, Blackberry PlayBook and Nokia N9
- MacOS: OS 10.5-10.9, Rainlender, Spotlife, Thunderbird, BusyCal, SoHo and Organizer
- Windows: Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010 & 2013, emClient, Thunderbird, Rainlender, Microsoft Outlook with Bynari WebDAV Collaborator and Microsoft Outlook with iCal4OL
- Linux: Thunderbird, Rainlender and Evolution
- Not all features are yet available for every system and program. A current list can be found on the official Fruux website.
How much does the Fruux cloud service cost?
- The free basic version connects two of your devices. You can also share two pieces of content with family and friends each month.
- The Pro version costs you € 4 a month or € 40 a year. You can synchronize up to 10 devices and share an unlimited number.
- For the team version, you pay € 20 a month for five members. Each additional member costs € 4 more per month. In addition to all the pro features, you can easily place rosters or task lists online for participants. Fair: There are no regular fees - you only pay when you use Fruux.
