FTTH connection: overview of costs & availability
With an FTTH connection you surf via fiber optic faster than with any other technology. We show you the costs and the availability of FTTH connections on this page from different providers.
FTTH connection: availability & costs
- An FTTH connection is not possible everywhere. After entering your address on the Telekom website, you can see whether fiber is available.
- You can also check availability on the Deutsche Glasfaser website.
FTTH connection costs
- To connect a house to the fiber optic network, you will have to pay between 600 and 700 euros. This roughly corresponds to the cost of a DSL connection.
- Tip: If you connect a newly built house with all other cables (telephone, electricity, etc.), fiber optic can be included at no extra charge or at a very low price.
- Now all you need is a fast router that can also process the data. We show you the best FTTH routers.
On the next page we show you how fast fiber is compared to LTE and VDSL.
