If you switch from a previous contract to Fyve, you can easily take your number with you. In this article we will tell you what you have to do for it.
How to take the number with Fyve
In a few steps you can take your phone number from your old provider to Fyve:
- First of all, you have to cancel your old contract or, in the case of a prepaid contract, send a waiver to the old provider so that the number is released. You can use this Fyve template for termination.
- If you want to take over your number at the end of the contract, you can do so up to 90 days after the end of the contract. If you want to take over the number before the end of the contract, you must also notify the previous provider in writing and have it confirmed.
- In any case, the old provider may incur costs to take the number with you, which you have to pay before the transfer.
- Then order a Fyve SIM card, specifying both the old number and the desired transfer date.
- Make sure that the data provided is the same as that of your old provider.
- You will now be informed by email about the status of the number portability. Your old number will then be activated at Fyve at the specified time.
The Fyve hotline will help you at any time if you have any questions about taking your number with you.
