Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S4: Differences between Samsung smartphones
In this smartphone comparison, we present the differences between the Samsung smartphones Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4.
Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 in hardware comparison
At first glance, the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 differ in size: At 5.7 inches, the Note 3 is a giant among smartphones and makes the 5-inch S4 appear tiny. The Note 3 spoils its users with a synthetic leather back, while the Galaxy S4 is surrounded by a polycarbonate cover. And this is what the smartphones under the housing offer:
- In terms of the technical details, the Galaxy giant outperforms its mini-rival: a Snapdragon 800 processor clocks inside the Note 3, and 3 GB of RAM are available as a buffer. In the smallest version, the smartphone comes with 32 GB of internal memory. The Galaxy S4 is clearly behind with a Snapdragon 600, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB in the smallest version.
- A Full HD Super AMOLED panel is used as the display on both devices. Since the screen of the Galaxy S4 is significantly smaller, the image looks a little sharper than that of the Note 3.
- With a 3200 mAh battery, the Galaxy Note 3 exceeds the runtime of the Galaxy S4.
- The smartphones do not give anything when taking pictures: the camera of both Galaxy models triggers with 13 megapixels.
Gimmicks: Galaxy Note 3 with S-Pen
Despite the proud size of 5 inches, the Samsung Galaxy S4 does not support an S-Pen. Not so the Note 3: here the giant smartphone comes with an S-Pen, which you can use the device much more comfortably. So that the stylus is not lost, the Galaxy Note 3 offers a slot in which you can stow the S-Pen.
