Galaxy Note: S-Pen does not work - what to do?
If your Galaxy Note does not work with the S-Pen, there is probably only a software problem. We show you how to make your S-Pen functional again.
S-Pen on the Galaxy Note does not work - you can do that
If your Galaxy Note has not been reset for a long time, software errors can creep in. In some cases, the S-Pen will no longer work.
- Restart your Galaxy Note first. This will reload the surface and fix the problem with S-Pen detection on the display.
- If the S-Pen is still not working, you should deactivate the "AirView" function. You can find this in the "S-Pen" menu in the settings of your Galaxy Note. The "feature" ensures that your S-Pen can already be recognized a few millimeters above the display. However, this can still lead to errors.
- You can also replace your S-Pen to restore functionality. First, replace the tip, some of which were included with the delivery of your Galaxy Note. Alternatively, you can try a different or new S-Pen. Even if you do not see any external damage, the S-Pen can be damaged.
- As a last resort, you can still restore your Galaxy Note to its factory settings. Before you do that, however, you should back up your data such as photos and contacts.
- If that doesn't help either, you have to send the device in. Then there is most likely a hardware problem. In this case, contact Samsung customer service.
