The Samsung Galaxy S10 (Plus) is one of the best smartphones on the market. But unlike its predecessors, it does not have a notification LED. You can find out how to receive LED notifications in this article.
Samsung Galaxy S10: Show LED notifications
One way to get notifications on your Samsung Galaxy S10 is to turn on the side lights.
- You can activate the side light in the settings under "Display ➔ Side screen ➔ Side light".
- When a new notification arrives for you, the edge of the display lights up.
Samsung Galaxy S10: Always-on-display
If you always want to see if you have new notifications, the always-on display is the perfect choice.
- You can activate and configure the always-on display in the settings under "Lock screen ➔ Always on display".
- Now, even when the screen is deactivated, the S10 shows the time and notifications very efficiently by only activating the required pixels on the screen.
Camera flash as notification LED
You can use your camera flash as a notification LED on the S10.
- You can activate and configure this function in the settings under "Accessibility ➔ Advanced settings ➔ Flash notification".
- The flash now lights up when there is a new notification.
- Alternatively, you can also use apps for this, for example the "Flash Notification" application. Here you can specify whether the flash should be triggered on calls and SMS and which other apps should display the notifications. In addition, the function can be deactivated automatically from a certain battery level.
