Galaxy S8: Unlock PC - Requirements
The unlock feature is already known from Samsung tablets with Windows 10, such as the Galaxy TabPro S. Now the function has been extended to all Windows 10 computers.
- To do this you need the "Samsung Flow" app from the Play Store and "Samsung Flow for Windows" from the Microsoft Store.
- Your Galaxy S8 must also be equipped with Android 6 and Windows 10 must have received the Creators Update.
- Now you have to make sure that your computer supports the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). You may have to activate the function in the BIOS.
- After you run the Samsung Flow applications, you will be guided step-by-step through the setup process.
- In principle, the feature also works with the Galaxy S6 and S7, on which Android 6.0 is installed.

- If you would now like to log in on your computer, a registration notification pops up on your Galaxy S8. To do this, Samsung Flow must already be activated in the background and Bluetooth must be switched on on both devices.

- The authorization process is carried out by Windows Hello.
- Note: In addition to logging in using your fingerprint, your computer also matches calls and messages with your smartphone, which are then directly present in Windows 10.
