Galaxy S8: measure your heart rate - how it works
If you want to measure the pulse with the Samsung Galaxy S8, this is easily possible thanks to the heart rate sensor. You just have to start the right app. We'll show you how to measure your heart rate using the app.
Measure your heart rate with the Samsung Galaxy S8
- First open the app called "Samsung Health". This is already pre-installed.
- If you don't find the app, swipe up on the home screen. You will find the app there in the "Samsung" folder.
- Tap the heart symbol in the lower right corner of the app and select the "Measure" option.
- Now put your finger on the back of the Galaxy S8. The sensor is located to the left of the camera, below the flash.
- Leave your index finger on the sensor until the measurement has been completed.

- The normal pulse or resting heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute. It is usually slightly higher in women than in men.
- In athletes, however, it is only 30 - 40 heartbeats per minute.
