How to restore your Galaxy Tablet with Nandroid backup
To be able to restore your Galaxy Tablet, you must of course have made a backup beforehand. You can find out how to create a complete Nandroid backup in our practical tips.
- Switch off your Galaxy Tablet and start in ClockWorkMod. To do this, simultaneously press the power button, the home button and the volume down button.
- Before you can import a backup, you must first "wipe" the tablet. To do this, navigate to the "Wipe Date / Factory reset" option and confirm. Then go to the "Wipe Cache Partition" option and confirm again.
- You have now deleted the current OS and can now import the backup. To do this, go to "Backup and Restore and confirm the entry.
- Go to "Restore", confirm again and then select the backup you want to use for the restore. Then you only have to confirm once, the backup will then be imported automatically.
- Then reboot, you have the desired settings and data back on your Galaxy Tablet. The first boat can take a while.
Restore with google server
- In "Settings -> Personal -> Backup and reset" you can specify that your data is saved. App data, WiFi passwords and other settings are then automatically saved on Google servers.
- If you also check "Automatically restore", the saved settings and data are automatically restored when you reinstall an application.
Restore factory settings - how it works
If you are not concerned with backing up personal data, but with restoring the factory settings, proceed as follows:
- Open the "Settings" on your Galaxy Tablet.
- In the "Personal" section, switch to "Save and reset".
- Tap "Reset to factory settings". But be careful: All personal data and settings are deleted during this process.
