Galaxy Tab too slow - what to do?
If your Galaxy Tab is running too slowly, there are several things you can do. We'll show you the different solutions to get your tablet back on its toes.
Galaxy Tab too slow - so accelerate your tablet again
- Shut down your tablet, leave it out for a few minutes, and then restart it.
- If your battery is almost empty, there may also be delays. Charge your battery and check whether the device runs faster again afterwards.
- Close unnecessary desktop apps. Apps that you don't need often run in the background. Check the Task Manager to see if that is the case and exit the apps accordingly. This can also be noticed by slowly starting the tablet.
- Install all necessary updates of the system and other important apps. If apps or system components are not up to date, it can also happen that your tablet is slowed down.
- Check your storage space. If it is overcrowded, delete unimportant files to make room.
- Scan your tablet for viruses and other malware. Use a virus program and configure it to ward off future viruses.
- Reset your tablet to factory settings. We explain this to you in the following section.

- Now go to "Reset to factory settings" and click on "Reset device" in the next window.
- If you confirm the process with "Delete all", your tablet will restart. Your tablet has now been reset to the factory settings.
