If your gamepad does not work precisely, you can also calibrate it under Windows 8. We explain how it works.
Win 8: Calibrate the gamepad
As a rule, a gamepad does not have to be calibrated manually. If there are still inaccuracies in the control in games, a calibration may be necessary:
- Press the Windows key to open the Windows 8 Start menu. Type in the term "controller" (without the quotes). In the results below the search field, select "Set up USB game controller".
- If necessary, mark the desired controller and click the "Properties" button. In the new window, you can now test your game controller and determine whether it actually needs to be calibrated.
- Switch to the "Settings" tab and click on "Calibrate ...".
- Click "Next" and follow the instructions of the wizard.
