Gaming: level cap - what is it?
Many games, especially role-playing games (RPGs for short) have so-called level caps. In this practical tip, we explain what the level cap is and where it occurs.
Level Cap - what does that mean?
- Level limitation: A level cap is a so-called level limitation, i.e. the highest level to be reached in a game.
- Occurrence: Level caps often occur in role-playing games, for example in World of Warcraft.
- Level caps are determined by the manufacturers and specify a possible end of the game that is at the highest level. For players, the level cap is a goal that should often be achieved as quickly as possible. Up to this point, all skills have been fully developed and all other tasks have been completed.
- In some games, level caps can be expanded with new extensions or additional, paid content.
