How to update Garmin?

Updating your Garmin navigation device - that's what you have to do

Connect your Garmin navigation system to the PC via USB and wait for the device to start up.

1. Switch to the myGarmin page and log in with your data.
2. Click on the "myMaps" tab to call up a list of the available updates.
3. Select your device from the list and install the "Garmin Communicator Plugin". This tool is only compatible with Internet Explorer or Safari.
4. You will also be asked to install Garmin Express. With this program, your navigation system communicates with the PC. Start the tool after successful installation.
5. If you have not yet registered your device in "Garmin Express", you will now be asked to do so. You must first register it before you can download the updates.
6. To check for updates, go to the "Updates" tab under "Garmin Express". There you will see all the innovations available for your device.
7. The most recent update is at the top. Click here on "Install" and accept the agreement for the installation to begin.
8. Wait for the update to download and install. Then you can close "Garmin Express" and disconnect the device from the PC.
