Show opened ports - how it works
With the free "CurrPorts" program, you can display all open ports and search for Trojans and spyware yourself. You can sort the results clearly and evaluate them easily.
Overview of port assignments: Find out which ports are open
- Download the free "CurrPorts" tool and run it on your computer.
- After starting, the tool analyzes which ports have been opened by which program.
- Under the "Local Port" tab, you can see which port is currently using which software.
- "CurrPort" also marks suspicious instances in pink. These are primarily programs that have neither an icon nor a version number.
- With a click on the "HTML Report - All Items" icon, you can display the results in your browser and save them on your computer as a document for later use.
If you have found a suspicious file, you should block it immediately with a firewall and have your system scanned with an AntiVirus. These instructions refer to CurrPort 2.1.
