How to recognize fake Deutsche Post emails
- If you don't expect any message from Deutsche Post, this is the first time to be puzzled.
- If you find an error in the content or there is something wrong with the grammar, you can often already assume that the email is spam. Such mistakes are extremely unusual for Swiss Post.
- Pay close attention to the sender or subject. If you google this, you will find suitable entries in the Internet in a spam mail in many cases.
- Never open attachments. Viruses are usually hidden here, especially if they are packaged in a RAR file.
- You shouldn't open links directly either, just copy and paste them with a right click. If the copied link really is the web address of Deutsche Post, it seems to be safe.
- Conclusion: Not every point points to a spam email, but every further indication hardens the suspicion. If there are still doubts, Swiss Post can confirm the authenticity. A corresponding contact form can be found here.
