Recover deleted IMEI - Here's how
When flashing an Android smartphone, it can happen that the IMEI is deleted. We show you how to restore them in this article.

To recover your IMEI, you first need to find out.
- If you can remove the battery flap on your smartphone, you will find the IMEI under the battery.
- On some models, the IMEI is also on the back of the device.
- If you have the original packaging of your smartphone on hand, you can find the IMEI on it.
Recover deleted IMEI with MTK Engineering Mode
The MTK Engineering Mode for Android tool helps you to restore the IMEI:
- Download the MTK Engineering Mode app from the PlayStore and install it.
- Open the app and select MTK Settings.
- Under "Connectivity" tap on "CDS Information".
- Select "Radio Information". If you have a dual SIM device, you can now select which SIM card you want to make settings for.
- Now type in the command "AT + EGMR = 1, 7, IMEI NUMBER". Enter your IMEI instead of "IMEI NUMBER".
- Type "Send Command".
- Restart your smartphone. With the command * # 06 # you can call up your IMEI via the telephone function and check whether everything worked.
