Refurbished "- what does that mean?
Technical devices such as laptops or smartphones can also be refurbished. But what does that mean? We'll explain it to you.
What does refurbished mean?
If a product is described as completely overhauled, it has already been used by a customer, but was returned within the statutory cancellation period or guarantee period.
- How long the device has been in use cannot be read from the term refurbished. The customer may only have started the laptop once or used it for a few months.
- However, in the case of technical devices in particular, the service life also affects the price reduction. If the device was only started briefly, the discount is usually small. If it has been in use for a few days or weeks, the discount is higher.
- If a device has been completely overhauled, it will be checked by the manufacturer or seller after returning the first buyer and repaired if necessary. You get all the accessories. Only the box may already be open depending on the dealer.
- You should always ask the dealer how much the refurbished device has already been used. In many cases, however, it is worth buying such devices because the price usually drops sharply.
