Find parked car: Instructions for iPhone & Android
You can easily find your parked car with Apple Maps (iOS) or Google Maps (Android) on your smartphone. The question of where you actually parked is now a thing of the past. We will show you how your cell phone remembers the parking space and will guide you there later.
iPhone: Where did I park?
- Since iOS 10, Siri can remember the parking lot for you. In conjunction with CarPlay, the parking space is even automatically saved on your smartphone.
- If CarPlay is not integrated in your car, you have to save it manually. To do this, start Siri and give the command "Save parking space".
- If you want to find your car later, just ask Siri "Where did I park?" Then your position and the saved position of the car is shown on the map.
Android smartphone: where did I park?
- If you use Google Now on your Android smartphone, the search for a parking space is also quite easy. The service always saves the last position of your car.
- This happens in the background and can also lead to errors. If you travel by bus or train, this can also result in a saved parking space.
- Just ask Google Now "Where did I park?" And the location will be shown on the map.
Alternative apps for finding a parking space
- If you are using older smartphones or you do not want Google Now and Siri to give you access to your data, there are a few alternatives. Here, however, you must always remember to save the location so that you can call it up later.
- The Find my car and ParkDroid apps are especially popular for Android smartphones. The Find My Car Free app is suitable for the iPhone.
