Insert a non-breaking space in OpenOffice - how it works
In this practical tip, we will show you how to insert a non-breaking space in OpenOffice.
OpenOffice: insert a non-breaking space
A non-breaking space prevents a space between two words at the end of a line from becoming a line break.
- The quickest way to insert the non-breaking space is with the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Space.
- Alternatively, you can find the option by clicking on "Insert" under "Formatting characters". Just click on "Protected space" here (see picture).
