GIF is a popular image format because of the ability of animation. This practical tip shows you how to save the images on your smartphone for the various operating systems.
Save GIF under iOS - so it works
- Tap and hold the GIF you want to save until the context menu appears.
- Select "Save Image" from the menu to save the GIF in your photos.
- Now switch to your photos, you can open the picture, but without animation. To see the picture animated, you have to send it. To do this, tap on the "Share" button and choose between "Message" or "Mail". If you want the GIF animated on your own iPhone, send it to your address.
