Set up Vodafone's GigaCube - how it works
To be able to use the WLAN properly with the GigaCube from Vodafone, you have to set it up first. Read how easy it is in this article.
Set up Vodafone's GigaCube - how it works
- Insert your micro SIM card in the GigaCube.
- Connect the device to the WLAN or alternatively use the LAN cable. If you use the WLAN, enter the security key. You will find this on the bottom of the GigaCube.
- Check whether the GigaCube is connected to the mobile internet. Enter //giga.cube in the internet browser.
- Enter your username and password on the page that appears. You can find both information on the bottom of the GigaCube.
- Click on "Register" and then on "Apply".
GigaCube: Configure the WLAN settings
- First give the WLAN a name of your choice. Enter this in the "SSID" field. The name cannot be longer than 32 characters.
- Check the box next to "Change password" to make it active.
- Enter your own desired WiFi key. Combine uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers.
- Click on Continue".
- The new WLAN key is adopted.
Switch on automatic configuration of the GigaCube
- In order for the device to configure itself automatically, switch on the automatic update.
- Under the item "Update configuration" select the option "Update automatically in idle state (3: 00-5: 00)".
- Click on Continue".
- Now change the automatic password of the GigaCube under //giga.cube to a personal password.
- Click Finish".
