If your Gigaset phone suddenly stops ringing, there can be various reasons. Read in this practical tip what you can do about it.
Gigaset phone does not ring - so you can fix the error
- First switch to the "Settings" of your Gigaset phone and then to "Handset". Make sure that the "Volume" under "Ringtone" is set to at least "1".
- If necessary, you can also deactivate a muting by a long press on the [*] key.
- In some cases it can help if you remove the battery for 2 minutes and then insert it again. Check whether the device rings.
- Also make sure that you have set up the correct telephone number in the base station or in the router, otherwise the telephony will be faulty.
- You can also set a so-called "bell lock" on the phone in the router. Therefore, make sure that this is switched off in the router.
- In some cases, this problem occurs with the so-called "Eco Mode" on telephones. Therefore switch this mode off in the router.
- You can assign a base to the handset in the "Settings" of the handset, because otherwise no telephony can take place.
- If you cannot solve the problem with these tips, there may be a major defect and you should replace the device.
