Gigaset shows "No basis" - it can be because of that
You need a base so that you can make calls with your Gigaset. If "No base" is displayed, the error can usually be quickly remedied. Read in this practical tip what you can do about it.
Gigaset shows "No basis" - what to do?
- Make sure that you are not too far from the base. A range of around 50 meters is possible.
- You should also ensure that the handset battery is sufficiently charged.
- To ensure that the range is not disturbed, there should be no microwaves, magnets or other interfering objects near the telephone.
- In some cases it may be sufficient to disconnect the phone from the mains for about 60 seconds. Then place the handset in the station and try again.
- To reset the handset, remove the mains plug from the power supply for approx. 60 seconds and press and hold the paging key. Then reconnect the base to the power supply and wait for the base to make a sound.
- Alternatively, you can also reset the handset by going to "Settings" and selecting "Handset"> "Handset reset".
- If these tips did not solve the problem, there may be a bigger problem and you should replace the device.
