Gimp: Undo the action - how it works
Whether filter, brush stroke or other effects - in Gimp you can undo any action. This works either via the menu or a key combination.
Undo actions in Gimp
If you accidentally applied the wrong filter in Gimp or you don't like your change, you can undo the action.
- To do this, click on "Edit" at the top of the menu bar and then on "Undo" to undo the last action. You can repeat this step as often as you like. If you have clicked on "Undo" too often, you can undo it by selecting the "Redo" entry in the "Edit" menu.
- Alternatively, use the key combination [Ctrl] + [Z] to undo the last action. To restore, you can press the [Ctrl] + [Y] keys.
- Tip: If you want to undo any changes you have made to the photo, you can simply close Gimp without saving. To do this, press the close button at the top right and confirm the warning with "Discard changes". If you open your picture again, all changes have disappeared.
So that your changes don't go wrong, we will show you which filters you use to perfectly liquefy your image in Gimp.
