If you mark an area in Gimp, only changes can be made in it. With one click you can reverse the selection and adjust the rest of the image area. We'll tell you exactly how this works in this practical tip.
Gimp: Invert selection - how it works
In Gimp you can use various tools to mark areas in your image. If you then want to reverse the selection, press the key combination [Ctrl] + [I]. Alternatively, you can access the option via the menu:
- To do this, open the desired image in Gimp and select an area.
- Then click on "Selection" in the menu bar.
- If you click "Invert" in the drop-down menu, the selection is reversed.
