Gimp: Liquify images - the best filters
The liquify tool is known to many users from Photoshop. But there are also tools in Gimp that make it possible to deform images freely. You can find out how this works in this practical tip.
Liquefy pictures in Gimp - how it works
The "IWarp" tool has been integrated in Gimp from the start. You can use it to deform images in different ways.
- First install and open Gimp and load the image you want to liquefy.
- Go to "IWarp" tool via "Filter"> "Distort".
- A new window is opening up. In the left area you can see a preview of your picture, in the right area you can make the appropriate settings on the tool.
- For example, set the deformation mode to "move". If you move the mouse over the preview image, it will be shown as a cross.
- Click and move the mouse to deform the image. With a click on "OK", the changes are applied to the original image.
- Tip: The best way to get to know iWarp is to play around with the settings. You can delete unwanted changes at any time using the "Reset" button.
